Crossway has been established as a low cost, high-quality counselling service. Our fees are designed to be affordable and accessible based on your circumstances. A genuine lack of capacity to cover the cost of counselling will never be an impediment to receiving assistance. This is possible because of the generosity of North Beach Baptist Church, who heavily subsidise all Crossway appointments.  .  

 

Crossway has adopted a flexible, scaled fee structure. Fee levels will reflect the client’s capacity to pay and will always be taken in good faith at the discretion of the Counsellor. As a general guide, the following scales will apply:

• Clients who are not experiencing substantial financial pressures will be charged $100 per 50 minute session. 

• Clients experiencing some financial pressures or who are from single-income households will be charged at a discounted rate of $70 per 50 minutes. 

• Clients experiencing significant financial pressures will be charged at the highly subsidised rate of $50 per 50 minutes. 

• Clients who are facing severe financial hardship can request a higher financial subsidy. 

 

Please note: Clinical Psychologists routinely charge between $100 and $160 per session in addition to the Mental Health Medicare Rebate (and over twice that in the absence of a Medicare rebate). This means that even in the absence of a Medicare rebate, the out-of-pocket expense for our highest tier is less than the fee gap with most Clinical Psychologist.
